Master of Science in Accounting (MSA)

At Castleton State, the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program has been specifically designed to provide the advanced levels of preparation needed to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Whether students are aspiring to leadership careers in public, private, or governmental accounting, the program places an emphasis on building the abilities to conduct research in taxation, accounting, and auditing throughout. Graduates of the 30-credit program will possess the technical competency needed to gather, evaluate, examine, and apply relevant financial information to solve complex accounting-related problems. Student must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, complete all prerequisites, and score in at least the fiftieth percentile on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) for acceptance.

University of Vermont

School of Business Administration

Boasting a 83.3% first-time pass rate on the CPA exam, the program strives to prepare students for building successful careers in public accounting firms or corporate accounting firms as Certified Public Accountants (CPA). For individuals who studied accounting or business as undergraduates, the MAcc program consists of 30 credit hours, which can be completed in less than one full academic year. Enrollment is limited each year to 30 students in order to maintain the close-knit cohort format for maximum learning.
