Andreas School of Business

Barry University’s School of Business was founded in 1976 with the intention of providing excellent academic programs for undergraduate and graduate students in Florida. Master of Science in Accounting

Florida Atlantic University

College of Business

Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business offers its students 11 different graduate programs. The school is dedicated to offering students the ability to thrive in a business setting. FAU emphasizes the necessity to explore core accounting practices. The College of Business is also geared toward making students more marketable and valuable as potential accountants.

Master of Accounting

The goal of FAU’s Master of Accounting degree is to produce students with clear career goals who are prepared to sit for the CPA examination. Graduates are prepared to work in public accounting or for the government. Students will have the opportunity to expand on their skills in teamwork, communication and leadership.

Most students study in a traditional classroom setting; however, some students choose to take the classes online. Students may combine e-learning with traditional classroom courses as well. FAU’s flexibility is one of its strong points.

The Master of Accounting requires just 10 courses of 30 semester credits. The core courses include Advanced Accounting Theory, Advanced Audit, and Concepts of Federal Income Tax. Students must also take an accounting elective in addition to three program electives. Some additional requirements might be necessary for students who do not hold an undergraduate business degree.

Master of Tax

FAU offers a Master of Tax degree program that strives to provide students with a thorough education in enterprise on all levels. Students will be prepared to work from a local, national, or global perspective. This MTAX program aids students in developing communication, leadership, analytical, and technical skills.

Barney Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise

Florida Southern College offers a business program that encourages students to think rationally and critically. FSC intends to offer a competitive advantage to business students who wish to pursue a career in accounting or a related field. The Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise offers customized learning plans with small classes. Students receive personal attention and are encouraged to engage with other students. Unlike many other schools, FSC offers a CPA review course at a reasonable rate for graduates. Students have the opportunity to learn about taxes, managerial costs, auditing, and financial forensics.

Master of Accountancy (MACC)

This degree program takes about 16 months to complete. In addition, graduates will be prepared to sit for the CPA exam and embark on a career in accounting. This degree program is offered via traditional and online classrooms. Many students enjoy a hybrid version of the course that meets just once each week. Graduates of the Florida Southern College’s Barney Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise will have the confidence necessary to pursue an accounting career.
